If you’ve been affected by a terrorist attack, getting support local to you can be really important. The Support Hub for Survivors and Victims of Terrorism works in partnership with organisations across the country to make sure you can access the help you need, wherever you live.
The Support Hub works alongside a wide network of local organisations so that you can be linked to services already working in your area. This includes local victim services, health and wellbeing support, specialist charities and community organisations.
How the Support Hub can help
In the immediate aftermath of a terrorist attack, the Support Hub provides an on-the-ground presence in the local area, providing clear and accessible information for people and communities affected.
In the days and weeks after an attack, the Support Hub can help to refer you to local services that will best meet your needs. This could include emotional support, longer-term care, specialist therapies, or practical help within your community.
The Support Hub also keeps an up-to-date national directory of local and specialist services, helping our team make quick and accurate referrals to the support that’s right for you. This directory is reviewed regularly throughout the year, ensuring you’re always connected to the most relevant options available in your area.

The Support Hub partners
The Support Hub is delivered by three specialist partners who each bring their own expertise to help people affected by terrorism. Together, we offer a blend of immediate practical help, long-term emotional support, and clinically led psychological care.
Victim Support provides immediate help, available via telephone and live chat. Our dedicated caseworkers help people navigate everything from housing and finances to legal processes, school support, and daily wellbeing.
Our trauma-informed approach includes personalised support plans, crisis intervention, safeguarding, communication support, and connection to specialist services. We also ensure smooth coordination between all Support Hub partners, helping each person get the right support at the right time.
Peace Collective provides long-term emotional support and peer connection for people affected by terrorism, with a specialist focus on children and young people. They create safe spaces where people can talk, heal, and build confidence in their own time, both online and in person.
Their support includes one-to-one sessions, peer mentoring, creative wellbeing workshops, and supervised groups designed to reduce isolation and strengthen resilience. Peace Collective also trains young peer mentors with lived experience to support others, helping build a compassionate and supportive community around each person.
West London NHS Trust (WLNT) provides specialist psychological assessment and evidence-based treatments for adults and young people affected by terrorism. Working as part of the Support Hub alongside Victim Support and Peace Collective, WLNT ensures individuals receive timely, clinically-led support tailored to their needs.
Following referral, WLNT clinicians will offer individual assessments to identify psychological needs associated with the impact of the incident. Support is delivered by accredited clinical psychologists and will include evidence-based therapies such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing, and other therapeutic interventions designed to support recovery.
WLNT also plays a key role during the early period following an incident, helping partners identify emerging mental health needs and ensuring individuals experiencing significant distress can quickly access appropriate care. Through this approach, adults and young people can receive the right level of psychological support at the right time, with treatment typically available within six weeks of referral.
